Bonham’s Fine Photographs Auction
This coming week (2nd October 2017) sees a raft of photography auctions across several international auction houses, the first of the slew is the annual autumn photography auction from Bonham’s: ‘Fine Photographs’. Located in their New York house, the Fine Photographs auction is set to take place on the 2nd October at 2pm with a range of prints from the biggest names in historical photography: Ansel Adams, Eugene Atget, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Edward Steichen, Man Ray, Paul Strand, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Diane Arbus, Ormond Gigli, Walker Evans, Bill Brandt, Helmut Newton, Edward Weston and W. Eugene Smith. Estimates range from $4,000 to $250,000 (for Irving Penn’s ‘Ginkgo Leaves (New York)’).
